GROUP COURSES (the next session begins the week of Monday, Nov 26)
Group lessons run in 4-week sessions and are an excellent introduction to dances of all types and the social experience of partner dancing. They allow you to concentrate on a single dance or try out a number of different styles under the direction of our superb professional staff and in a congenial mix of students of all ages.
Dance Manhattan offers the largest number of group classes in NYC, in all dance styles and levels. Group classes constantly rotate partners, giving students the opportunity to practice their steps with others throughout the class. This accomplishes two things- you get used to dancing with different partners, honing your skills for the social dance scene, and you get the opportunity to meet new people and make new friends here at Dance Manhattan.
We also offer COUPLES ONLY classes for those who do not want to rotate and prefer to dance exclusively with their partner. Group Course Pricing
$85 for one 4-week course (1 hour per week for 4 weeks)
$125 for two simultaneous 4-weeks courses
$150 for 3 courses
$170 for 4 courses
$190 for 5-6 courses
$205 for 7-9 courses
$230 for 10-15 courses
Those who would like to emerse themselves and study for more than 15 hours per week, may add $30 for each additional course beyond the first 15.
We welcome High School and College students and support their desire to learn to dance. We offer a generous $25 off for those STUDENTS who register for 1 or 2 simultaneous 4-week group classes - a current, valid student ID is required.
PRIVATE LESSONS
Private lessons are available in all styles and levels of dance with any of our professional staff. This intense, personalized attention gives you the opportunity to focus on mastering footwork, styling and technique. You may share your lessons with a partner (one leader, one follower) at no additional fee!
Private Lessons are 55 minutes long and do not guarantee a private room. There are no EXCHANGES on private lessons. Once booked, a minimum of 24 hours notice is required in order to reschedule a lesson and avoid a full charge for that lesson. Discounted private packages are available in groups of 5, 10 and 20.
Hours for Private Lessons
Private lessons are by appointment and are scheduled based on the instructor's availability and your convenience. Appointments may be scheduled:
Weekdays: 10am to 9pm (sometimes 10pm)
Saturdays: 11am to 5pm
Sundays: 11am to 4pm but times vary based on studio opening

One hour $85, Additional people/lesson $20 per person
Five 1-hour lessons $400 ($25 savings over individually purchased lessons)
Ten 1-hour lessons $770 ($80 savings over individually purchased lessons)
Twenty 1-hour lessons $1500 ($200 savings over individually purchased lessons)
Senior, Director and Guest Artist Instructors
Senior, Director and Guest Artist private lesson fees are higher than $85 per hour. Please call our administrators at 212-807-0802 to confirm fees and coordinate your private lessons.
